Some Vital Things You Need to Know About Your Energy and Intentions

Did you see The Oprah Winfrey Shows featuring ‘The Secret’ movie? With the Oprah Show’s amazing power to reach a much wider audience, the first show got such a huge reaction with an avalanche of incredible feedback, that a second show followed a week later … and more are planned in the near future.

If you didn’t catch them, have a look at what this incredible coverage is doing for people from all over.

Oprah Show 1 (February 8 2007) - ‘After The Show’
Oprah Show 2 - The Reaction - (Feb 16 '07)

So, what is the significance of some of the key lessons?

The Energy You Put Out

On the shows, ‘The Secret’ teachers talked a lot about the energy frequencies we emit and how this impacts on what we attract, what we manifest, and our experience of our world.

Basically, what this means is that -

In Quantum Physics, and the Law of Attraction, everything is energy - and the flow of that energy is controlled by our thoughts, emotions and ‘feelings’, which create an energetic ‘vibration’ of varying levels of intensity. Each one of us is a field of energy, within a larger field of energy, and so forth.

The frequency you project out through your thoughts, emotions and ‘feelings’ is what you have a tendency to manifest in your life - whether those thoughts and emotions are conscious or unconscious, positive or negative, it makes no difference. The Universe doesn’t judge - it delivers to you what you spend most of your time thinking and feeling about.

As we are all made of energy, the frequency at which we vibrate connects with other people who are vibrating at the same or similar frequency. We attract people and circumstances into our lives accordingly.

If we are projecting at a low frequency - fear, blame, guilt, shame, anxiety, humiliation - we connect with, or attract with others at similar frequency. Even if our conscious mind wants higher goals, our actual feelings and emotions will connect with the lower frequencies at which we are ‘feeling’ (causes self-sabotage, blockages, and time delays in manifestation).

If we are operating at a higher frequency - acceptance, love, joy, peace, bliss, enlightenment - we will connect with others who are operating at higher frequencies also.

To help illustrate this further, in the book 'Power vs Force', Dr David Hawkins provides a Map of Consciousness chart which plots emotions and their energy frequency levels - here's an excerpt to give you a broad idea.

Enlightenment - 700-1,000
^
Peace - 600
^
Joy - 540
^
Love - 500
^
Reason - 400
^
Acceptance - 350
^
Willingness - 310
^
Neutrality - 250
^
Courage - 200
< Pride - 175
< Anger - 150
< Desire - 125
< Fear - 100
< Grief - 75
< Apathy - 50
< Guilt - 30
< Shame - 20

You will see that Courage is the middle point, the turn around point (at 200). At this point, you might say - “I am willing to take this on”. “I am seeking truth”. “I am looking to go forward” …

At Acceptance, you get to the level of disabling your ego (which is so powerful) – it relieves your ego from the need to win.

As this topic is so important, I will devote an entire upcoming edition of ‘Your Success’ E-Newsletter to it.

The Power of Intentions

‘The Secret’ teachers also talked a lot about intentions, and the importance of clarity, commitment, and being absolutely totally unwavering about your intentions.

It’s all about keeping your vision crystal clear and steadfast before you in the utmost positive light (with no doubts, not even for a moment) along the way, and holding that space consistently until you manifest your desire.

My friend Brendan O’Keefe has a wonderful resource called the Intention Engine which is an online interactive tool to help you with getting clear in your intentions, and it’s fr*ee too!

If you are serious about improving your life through the power of intention setting, there are some amazing tools at the Intention Engine to help you do so, like Goal Mapping, Vision Board, Creative Visualization, Auto Affirmations Generator, Auto Ideal Scene Generator, and many other resources. You can use it as your online journal and go back and revisit and update as often as you like. Go check it out!

Enjoy!

I Believe! - Do You Believe?

I recently came across this wonderful poem by Michael Gaudet - please do enjoy -

I Believe -

I believe in the power of creativity
and the power of a Higher Being.
I believe angels all around me
are eager to help me in times of need.

I believe in my own powers of decision
and making up my own mind.
I believe in perseverance
and not taking ‘no’ for an answer.

I believe in my ideas
and I will not be discouraged by cynics.
I believe in friends
who believe in me.

I believe in the stroke of genius
and the ‘aha!’ experience.
I believe in my heroes
and emulate their courage in my life.

I believe I can defy the odds
and change the world.
I believe I can make a difference
with my own two hands.

I believe that if I believe
I give myself permission
to be happy in my heart
and strong in my spirit!

I believe in reaching out to the world
by expressing myself
in whatever medium
I freely choose.

I believe I can launch my ideas
with dedication and commitment.
I believe my ideas will be appreciated
by the people that really matter.

I believe everyone has a soul-mate
and a life-path to follow.
I believe that we are here for a reason
and that is to nurture our creative spirits.

I believe in a community of friends
who share common ideals.
I believe in working together
and getting results.

I believe in clarity
and a blazing conviction.
I believe in passion
and an eagerness to work.

I believe in humor and laughter and joy
especially when times are tough.
I believe in the fertility of the universe
and the abundance of opportunity for all.

Finding and Following Your Life Purpose and Passion (Part 3)

How To Know If You’re Living Your Life On Purpose With Passion – 11 Key Tell-Tale Signs

You've Just Got to SO-OOOO Love What You Do !!!...

What are the signs that you're on the right track and on the way to, or actually already living your life with true purpose, real meaning and passion, and fulfilling your true potential? You'll know when –

1. You're totally obsessed with what you're doing – time just flies by and you're on a 'high' when you're doing your 'thing' you love. To you it's not 'work' at all because you're enjoying every moment an spending your time doing exactly what excites and makes you happy. It's what gets you 'springing' out of bed in the morning, and when you're away from it, you can't wait to get back to it …

2. You're totally hyper focused and in a trance-like state when you're doing what you love. You feel like you've been transported elsewhere, and your immunity to distraction is on 'high'. Often you may not hear people around you speaking to you, and only realize when you find yourself being roused and brought back to the sound of words "Are you listening to me? Hey, did you hear what I just said?"...

3. You've got a strong underlying Belief, all the while, that this IS definitely what you're meant to do …

4. You keep a strong clear Vision afloat all the time of where you want to get to - even when you're dog tired and exhausted, events and circumstances aren't flowing, things seem to not be going your way, and people are against you ...

5. You just keep going when the going gets tough, an keep getting up and on with it …

6. You surprise even yourself at your unfailing persistence to keep going and you feel propelled by this inner life force that is driving you ...

7. Despite the hurdles, trials, tribulations and frustrations, you look back with a smile and know that you've really enjoyed the experience anyway. You know deep down inside that you're going somewhere worthwhile and what you're doing has meaning and purpose ...

8. Things just seem to fall into place easily and just happen 'serendipitously' - people appear, telephone calls come, offers of support and guidance present, new relevant resources are introduced to you. You stop for a moment and you're in the right mindset to see the flow of what's happening and you smile and muse with sincere pleasing satisfaction …

9. You see that what you do makes a real difference in the lives of others beyond what you imagined. You give real value. Their feedback says it all and you're constantly amazed with great humility …

10. Sometimes you have a clear vision of what you want, but the pathway there isn't always clear. As chapters unfold and phases roll out and define themselves, ones you didn't even expect, you stay open to guidance …

This one is a bit tougher –

11. Even if your passion or purpose is a bit off the acceptable 'mainstream' track and you're not sure exactly where you'll end up, you go for it anyway with perseverance and patience. Even if you don't know exactly where your hunches and intuitions are leading, you trust and you're never disappointed with the outcomes and where you find yourself going. You're fascinated by the journey and your faith seems to balance out the odds even when it seems you're going against all the odds.

I came across this great quote recently –
"If you follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be." (Joseph Campbell)

Doesn't it make sense that if you LOVE what you're doing, you'll do it more often, more easily, and keep getting better at it? When you do so, the value you give to others will grow amazingly and exponentially.

In a business context, your perceived value to your customers, clients or subscribers will increase naturally.

So the key is to start doing what you love now. Take action! Make yourself immune to distraction! Get on track and be committed …

Sure, it might not result in a successful or even million dollar business overnight, but over the course of time, it's entirely possible, and it's happening all the time. If others can do it, so can you!

There will be nothing more satisfying than turning your calling, purpose and passion into a rewarding and prosperous business or career venture that you love doing, every single day, and to live the life you were meant to live.

To Your Success!

Finding and Following Your Life Purpose and Passion (Part 2)

How To Determine What Your Life Purpose Really Is –
3 Guiding Steps To Help You Get Clear

Doing What You Love Springs From and Goes Hand-in-Hand With Following Your Life Purpose

So, What is Life Purpose? Why is it So Important?

It's feeling that there's real meaning to your Life and a reason for what you do. It's having clear direction and a driving force flowing, even bursting out from you, leaving you in no doubt about your value and how best you contribute. When it just flows effortlessly, or even rushes out, that's a clear sign, and then you'll just know …

It gives you a foundation for knowing your reason for 'being' rather than just what you're 'doing'. The difference between Human 'Being' and Human 'Doing'. You'll know and feel that your internal compass is directing you, coming from a higher consciousness source.

It's the difference between your answer to the question – Who are you? - as opposed to - What do you do (for a living)?

How Do You Determine Your Life Purpose?

Discovering your Life Purpose is part of your own individual journey.

How do you know? How do you get clear? It's a very individual path. Some of you will just know and some of you will need to go through a process to find your way to get clear.

Here are some steps you can take -

1. Consider What is 'Uniquely' You and What You Offer

Find a quiet place for yourself where you can reflect peacefully without distractions or interruptions. Put yourself in a relaxed state. Do some deep breathing to relax yourself and fix your eye on an object or spot in a trance-like fashion, or close your eyes if you wish. You may like to use meditation if you're comfortable with this.

Place yourself in a state of mind focused on your purpose – one in which you feel inspired, directed, significant, with a vision ad 'purposeful' - and focus on asking what your purpose might be.

Ask yourself – What are my gifts? What are my talents? What do I do easily and naturally? What do people feedback to me that I'm really good at doing? What do I find meaningful? What do I think I'm here to do? What is my purpose? Listen to the answers that come up from within you.

2. Consider Further - How Do You Help Others?

When you help others, how do you do it? What effect does it have on others? Do you help others discover their own truth?

3. Write Down Your Life Purpose

Set aside time to write down a clearly crafted Life Purpose statement for yourself – one that resonates and has meaning for you. Put it before you in a place(s) where you'll see it often.

The 'Power' of a Clearly Defined Life Purpose

As Dr Wayne Dyer says - When you shift into a 'purposeful' state of mind, then all you need in the way of personality characteristics will naturally surface.

What this means is that when you're doing what you love and living on purpose, giving of yourself in a joyful way, your personality will reflect that bliss and all it involves.

This will not require struggle or detailed written goals and action plans. You will not require intelligence, skills or confidence from outside of yourself because you'll find these qualities already exist within you.

Your ability to manifest the necessary talent, intellect and mobilize changes in yourself to fulfill your purpose will already be intact.

Knowing Your Purpose Helps You Live With Integrity and In Alignment With Your Life Purpose

For instance, I know my Life Purpose is Life Enhancement - to teach and guide people how to improve their lives, from my own learning experiences, by example.

How did I arrive at my purpose? By learning unconditional Self Love first, being true to myself, discovering my authenticity, and my unique way to achieving a self-determining life doing my own thing, finding and following my own passion.

I had to learn these things first before teaching others. If I'm to show other people to be truthful with themselves, I had to be truthful with myself.

Learn Self Love first and everything will take care of itself ...

When you're inspired by a greater Life Purpose things just start to fall into place for you in your life. Knowing your Life Purpose on a 'big picture' level really helps you know how you relate to your life as a whole. Life Purpose serves as a focus around which to arrange, orient and direct your life.

To Your Success!

Finding and Following Your Life Purpose and Passion (Part 1)

How To Achieve a Life that You’re Passionate About By Doing What You Love To Do

We all have a definite purpose in our lives, a key part of which is living a life of joy and abundance. It’s also about doing what we love to do and fulfilling our highest natural potential.

Some call it ‘career’, some call it ‘vocation’, others call it following your ‘calling’ – doing something that you’re perfectly naturally suited to do, and fulfilling your life purpose in being here.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying – ‘Do What You Love and the Success Will Follow’. I can hear you saying – yeah well, its not always that easy! Yes, sure, I agree – it’s not always that easy. But why not? This is a complex question. Let’s explore this a bit further in this posting –

Some people find their way easily and naturally early in their lives and live a passionate life on purpose. Others find their way and make changes years later, or in mid life. Yet the majority struggle and never do ...

So, why does this elude so many people who think they’re on the right track, in a good ‘job’, earn reasonable money, sometimes even great $s, yet still something is lacking, still they’re not happy or fulfilled, still there’s a yearning for something else, something more?

They wonder if there's any purpose or meaning in their life. They find themselves just existing from day-to-day, operating on autopilot, or by default, dreading getting out of bed in the morning, and trudging and dragging their way to their 9-5 job ('job' = 'just over broke'), or these days more likely to be an 8-8 job ...

Many know they’re stuck in the wrong career or in an unfulfilling job, and say they will get around to fixing and changing that some day, when the time is right, when they get a chance …

Yes, for many, ‘Life gets in the way’ ... The mortgage and bills have to be paid, family to take care of, school fees, other life responsibilities, climbing the corporate ladder as society expects … and so it goes on ... and life goes by ...

Yes it’s a complex issue ...

OK, so - How can you achieve a Life that you love and enjoy by doing what you love to do? How can you do this?

It takes major soul searching and the courage, and the ‘guts’ to give it a go ....

For the next few minutes – set aside some time for yourself to explore the following questions below. For that time, answer honestly from your heart ... Put aside any limiting thoughts ... Think big ... Indulge yourself ... Don’t edit or sensor yourself ... Most importantly, have fun with this exercise. And, write down your thoughts - grab a piece of paper, or jot on your computer.

Ask yourself –

* What do you really love doing?
* What are your hobbies? (not always the same thing as previous question, so differentiate them)
* What are your ‘big picture’ dreams and goals that you have and would love to achieve?
* What would you really like to do if you absolutely knew you would not fail?
* Take this a step further, if money wasn’t an issue at all, what would you do or like to achieve?

* What do you think about when you get a private moment to yourself?
* Have you ever fantasized or wished you could spend more time at your hobby than at your job?
* What dreams did you have in childhood? Have you lost touch with or forgotten dreams and goals you had in childhood or earlier in your life? What are they?
* What interests, desires or passions do you have that you keep inside and do not tell others?

* Have you dreamt about ‘working for yourself’, starting your own business, perhaps home business?
* Have you actually tried setting up a business or home business before and failed?
* What things do you do really well and give away to friends – perhaps gourmet goodies, paintings, arts and crafts, floral arrangements, party and event planning, pet treats, plant cuttings or propagation, woodwork items, other hobby items …

The answers to these questions will give you the clues to your passions, or the career or business for you to consider pursuing –

If you’re passionate enough, love it enough, are fuelled enough, and have a raging ‘fire in your belly’ enough … You’ll find a way to DO IT … That’s what it takes …

Find your LOVE and PASSION and pursue it and you will find success. Yes, it will be difficult starting out. That’s the way it is in any business. Let me ask you - do you know of any business that hasn’t taken time, commitment and perserverance to build? It doesn’t happen overnight. (Please avoid getting hooked into ‘get rich quick’ biz opp schemes – most of them are just scams).

If your business is also your passion, YOU WILL find a way to do it, and YOU WILL make it through and won't quit when the going gets tough, because you LOVE it. Once you make up your mind that it’s what you want to do, then JUST GO and DO IT!

To Your Success!

Expressing Gratitude

Gratitude has been very much on my mind, as it always is, but it’s particularly meaningful for me right now and in the last couple of days.

Over recent weeks I was feeling especially positive and grateful for what I already have in my life, and looking forward with optimism and expectation for good things unfolding. Together with stating my clear intention for what I want, it has played out perfectly for me, before my very eyes – ‘Voila!’ - a wonderful opportunity appeared for me to be part of a fabulous Internet Marketing Case Study Program. And, I’m in and away! …

There will be many benefits galore and further opportunities so I’m totally on Cloud 9! … Law of Attraction in Action! …

So, its timely that I’ve just written an article on Gratitude for my recent
E-Newsletter edition. I included it here for you. Enjoy your reading and have fun with expressing your own Gratitude ...

Have You Got the Gratitude Attitude Thing Happening?

Don’t you just just love the whole Gratitude thing? – I remember when I first read about it in the context of Personal/Spiritual Development and Law of Attraction, it really captured my imagination. It made so much sense.

Whenever I feel myself getting off course a bit or out of kilter (or going into a mini meltdown about something I’m trying to grapple with, like internet marketing for example! – I’m human too!), I reach for the Gratitude Attitude and express thanks for all the great and wonderful things I already have to be thankful for in my life, right now.

It’s such a great reminder and major grounder. It makes such an amazing and immediate difference to how you feel about things. It's the purest and quickest way I know how to get myself shifted into a positive mindset, to 'Be' in the ‘Moment’, and change my energy frequency.

Gratitude can be your best friend and an amazingly effective tool - and fun at the same time! Take a moment right now and look around you and express your Gratitude for what you have, and feel the magic ...

If something really great has happened and you’re saying thanks, watch out for the physical sensations and tingles that well up in your body in that moment of glee (remember a couple of editions ago we talked about watching out for and learning more about reading the feelings and physical sensations in your body and what they mean – all part of your deepening self awareness).

The more you feel grateful, the more you radiate an energy that attracts more about which to be grateful. When you’re genuinely feeling grateful, in that very moment, you are at the same time creating a space, a vacuum to invite and call in abundance and prosperity into your life.

In her book ‘You Can Heal Your Life’, Louise Hay says ‘Expressing gratitude for what we already have enables it to grow’. So true …

Here are some practical things you can do to get your Gratitude practice happening regularly –

* At night when you’ve gone to bed, for a few moments as you relax, reflect back on your day and express gratitude for the good things that happened. Perhaps even some of the not so good things as you reflect positively on the lesson that it may have brought to your attention and its possible hidden meaning.

Then reflect and give thanks for the broader things – your loved ones/family, your friends, your beautiful home, your wonderful lush, invigorating garden, your great job, or the opportunity to be your own boss, work from home and build a great business you’re passionate about and totally love … and so forth.

* In the morning, look forward to the day and before setting your intentions for the day, reflect on and give thanks for all the great things in your life.

* You can keep a daily Gratitude Journal or Notebook where you set aside a few minutes every day and reflect on what happened for which you are grateful. Do this at a set time, so that it becomes a joyous habit.

* Take a Gratitude Walk, or turn your daily walk into a Gratitude Walk – by using the time for thinking and developing the gratitude and appreciation mindset.

As your eyes focus on the immediate things that come within your close range, as you walk along, you can truly appreciate what ‘being in the moment’ is like.

This is a wonderful time to look at and take in all the wonders of nature around you – the gardens, the plants and flowers, the colors, the scents, the birds, the blue sky, the fresh breeze ... This is also a fabulous way to appreciate the true boundless, natural abundance of nature.

As you continue to walk, keep your mind on all the positives in your life ... from the beauty and variety in your neighbors’ gardens, the changes from day to day, the way your local council maintains communal park areas ... to the way walking makes you feel invigorated and alive … to your appreciation of all the wonderful people in your life.

Give special thanks to the marvel of how magnificent your body is for working the way that it does ...

Keep your positive Gratitude thoughts coming right through your entire walk and you’ll feel fabulous and refreshed, both emotionally and physically.

* And, now let’s focus in on you by having you express gratitude to yourself, for yourself - your talents and abilities, your accomplishments today, your sense of humor, the wonderful qualities you bring to your interactions with other people, and how you make a difference just by being you.

This is a very empowering exercise. Try it. You can even do this while looking in the mirror at yourself and affirming how deserving you are of all good things.

Practice these techniques so that they become automatic and second nature to you. You’ll be so glad that you did … And then, look out for the positive results as they come flowing into your life ...

To Your Success!
